Paticia Johnson, 34, was charged with two counts of assault on a police officer, criminal trespass, breach of peace and resisting arrest, according to the Stamford Police.
The incident took place around 7:20 p.m. Sunday when Johnson refused to leave the private art function taking place on the ninth-floor of the Stamford Town Center, police said.
Pinto said the woman took the escalator up to the event and began eating food. When officials asked if she a ticket or had been invited, she told them to leave her alone and refused to leave.
When officers arrived at the event, Johnson began yelling insults at them and again refused to leave. That's when she spit at one officer hitting him, Pinto said.
Johnson then wrapped her arms and body around a railing to keep police from removing her, police said.
Once the officers were able to get her free of the railing, she spit in another officer's face.
